2019 Q3 Shopping Log

July

Two sweatshirts in a month, which is a bit much to be fair. But that’s what I wear 90% of the time. There’s no such thing as restriction when it comes to dressing for work (within reasons, although tank tops + flip flops + distressed denim shorts combination is allowed). So my usual go-to is always hoodies + jeans + sneakers.

It’s been a while since I purchased a pair of jeans. And I have noticed that I’m missing a light wash pair in my current rotation. Some people can live without having this color but sometimes dark wash is just too formal for me haha. So I got a pair from 7 For All Mankind, this pair is buttery soft and super duper comfortable. Ever since I bought them I think I wore them about 3-4 times a week.

  • America Today T-Shirt
  • 7 For All Mankind Jeans
  • Acne Studios Hoodie
  • Billy Sweatshirt

August

The month where I stocked up on loungewear. I love wearing matching set. Loungewear but make it posh. Hahahaha. My mom has a whole bunch of pjs sets which inspired me to purchase some for myself. I borrowed hers when I was in Indonesia and I just really enjoyed wearing them.

  • H&M Pyjamas Set
  • H&M Pyjamas Set
  • Adidas Sports Bra

September

  • Monki Jumpsuit
  • RayBan Hexagonal Sunglasses
  • Under Armour Sports Bra
  • Gymshark Sports Bra
  • Lululemon Leggings
  • Everlane Day Market Tote
  • Seidensticker Shirt
  • Equipment Silk Shirt (2nd hand)
  • New Era Cap

The two shirts and the tote bag are bought in preparation for my new job in October. I gave my Longchamp tote bag for my mom when I visited her. So I have been on the lookout to buy a replacement. I was contemplating on going big for my next tote aka splurging on a luxurious one. But in the end I feel like it’s a stupid thing to do for me because it’s just not a priority for me to buy an expensive handbag. Not that this one from Everlane is cheap. Tbh, I was a bit underwhelmed when I received it. But it smells nice and it works as a work bag. So whatever.

I have been working out almost every single day for more than a month now. Prior buying three sports bras and a pair of leggings, I only have one pair of leggings and two sports bras. I don’t feel guilty buying the new ones because I do really need them.

TL;DR: I bought too many things this month.

Now is days away from my first day at my new job. It’s quite exciting. This is the first time I switched job since I started working full time 4+ years ago. I was always so scared of doing interviews. But now I have done it a few times, I’m less nervous about it and I kind of know a little bit more what to ask and expect.

By the way, I’m curious. How casual or not casual is your office dress code? Please comment below and let’s have a chat 🙂

Editor’s note: Lol reading my July purchase notes. I don’t want to wear hoodies to work anymore hahahaha well done on purchasing an overpriced hoodie.
